The T&T team is pleased to be back at Southampton General Hospital, this time working directly for the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

Following on from our work in the height of the pandemic on the new Oncology building, where we designed and installed the stylish rainscreen cladding package, T&T has returned to work on the new Skyway Link Bridge. Further expansion at the site created the need for a new walkway between the Oncology unit and the hospital’s main building.

Our works on the new, elevated, Skyway Link includes the design, procurement and installation of the decorative, exterior, feature-cladding which gives the bridge its distinct look. Designed by architects Kendall Kingscott, the feature-cladding is made up of perforated, rhomboid, aluminium panels in a bronze finish, sourced from Turkey.

T&T’s Managing Director, Tom Rutter said this is a really interesting project for the team. It’s good to be back and being a part of the hospital’s expansion programme.”

The project is planned to commence in April, 2024.
